CASE STUDIES

Below are recent projects that I’ve worked on. Please click the links below to view case studies view the process for each.

RentPlus – Charge QA Enhancements

RentPlus is a product that allows residents of participating properties to build credit through on-time rent and/or utility payments. Rent Dynamics then reports those on-time payments to the credit bureaus. RentPlus began pushing the charges around this program direct to clients’ resident ledgers a few years ago. With that, a feature was created for the internal Rent Dynamics team, as well as clients to review the charges that will be pushed each month and assure that they are as accurate as possible. The number of clients has grown exponentially over the past year and enhancements needed to be made to the workflow to account for the growth, as well as future scale. Rent Dynamics CRM – Voice of Customer

Rent Dynamics offers a CRM product to for multifamily housing property management companies. Rent Dynamics also has a call center that serves as overflow for clients’ leasing centers. These calls are recorded and stored in Rent Dynamics’ database and the decision was made to transcribe these calls, as well as future calls, to text and offer it as a feature. From there it evolved into a powerful tool where client users are able to pull insights from the calls based on keywords and phrases included in both phone and email conversations with residents and leads. This case study outlines what the process looked like, as well as my role as a designer on the project. To learn more about this project, click here. (UPDATED LINK COMING SOON)

RentPlus

RentPlus is a product that I was lead designer on for Rent Dynamics. As a quick overview, RentPlus is a product offering that allows residents at a participating property to build credit by paying their rent and/or utilities on time and the RentPlus team works with the property management company to report those payments to credit bureaus. The credit bureaus will then record the monthly payment(s) on the resident’s credit report. I was tasked with redesigning the experience and UI for the RentPlus Resident Portal. The portal offers a dashboard where resident users can confirm that their rent and utility payments are being reported, as well as other tools and offerings that allow them to further their financial understanding and protect their identity. CityGro

CityGro is a company that specializes in customer retention marketing products. I’ve been working with CityGro since August 2019 to improve the experience of the portal where customers setup and customize their products (kiosks, widget allowing for messaging which allows businesses to invite their customers to continue conversations via SMS, set up and send text or email blasts, and create automation formulas). CityGro was leaning heavily on the customer success team and a big initiative I’ve been working on is designing the experience and user flow for self-sign up and upgrade of service. Below are updates to the UX of creating blast campaigns on the mobile version of CityGro’s portal. A big opportunity for enhancing the user experience was cleaning up the blast campaign table. WedSnap is a student project where I had the opportunity to collaborate with two other designers and two developers. It is a native iOS application that allows wedding couples to create a wedding event, collect RSVP’s for the event, and then auto-upload photos from the opted-in wedding party’s phones into one central database. Polling Place is a website solution that I designed as a student project. On this website, users are able to research both the national and local elections, allowing them to learn about candidates and their platforms, stay up-to-date on election dates, and also cast a secure digital vote using blockchain technology.
